To become a Notary in Tennessee, you must first make application with
your county clerk. This section of our site conveniently provides for
you the applications and fees for various counties. If your county is

your county's clerk by clicking this button:
The University of Tennessee County Advisory Service lists all county officials,
addresses and phone numbers in this section. Be sure to click the

Request
a notary application from your county clerk. The completed application
and the application fee are then submitted to your local county clerk's
office. You will be notified when you are approved and your notification
letter will have the exact dates of your term of office. Once you have
been approved, you may apply for your bond here on BondYourself. com.
You
must know the exact dates of your term of office to secure your $10,000
Notary Bond. There
is usually no reason to apply for your bond until you are approved and
know the dates of your term of office. Be aware that each county's procedures
may vary. For your convenience, we have placed specific county applications
for notary appointment and the county's special instructions (if they
are known to us) here on our site that you can print. CLICK on any of
the counties listed below for specific information. We will be adding
more counties in the weeks ahead.
